Well, I'm not much of a blogger/writer, I would much rather tell a story through pictures, so bear with my rudimentary writing skills. For a while now, I've had some ideas for some shots I wanted to do, so when my sister finally agreed to let me photograph her, I was SUPER excited! I absolutely love pictures that are dreamy and have a whimsical, magical feel to them. So, I scoped out this grass field in McAllen, bought tons of glitter, a fairy wand, some flowy scarves, and waited for sunset. Sadly, the tides were against us from the start. We battled a dying sun, tall itchy grass, hurricane level winds, Texas-sized mosquitos, huge ant hills, some faulty equipment and not to mention funny looks from people passing by. Nobody said it was easy being a photographer! Aside from all of that, we still got some great shots, so I thought I would share them with you. I suppose it was the elements and the scenery that made this shoot worth talking about. If anyone wants portraits with glitter, bubbles, confetti, or costumes- I'm your girl!
This was the end of the shoot when Kelly started to goof around and throw glitter everywhere. It was an unexpected shot I happened to capture.
