Happy New Year from Austin, Kim, Emery (3yr) and Fabio!

I'm so grateful that I have a sister-in-law that is also talented in photography. I set up my lights and backdrops and let her shoot away. It was so nice to have her help me out. It made our family portrait so much easier. No running into the photo while the camera rests on a tripod only to click a ton of shots where everyone is looking somewhere besides the camera. A group shot of us all together or even myself in a photo is a rarity. So that's definitely on my resolution list for 2014. More family photos and more photos with me in them. I never want to forget this moment. The way we looked, Emery's sweet smile and the chocolate stains I had to wipe away from her mouth before this shot. It's also a bonus that our loyal dog was such a lovely participant. He joined right in when he saw us sitting on the floor together.
