Miss I's First Dance Recital

May 25, 2016 • Leave a Comment

Isn't she darling?! What a way for Miss I's momma to remember this special time in her daughter's life,...by having her portrait taken.

What a fun time we had listening to music and dancing. Portrait sessions like this take you away to another place,...just for a short while; to pretend, to play, to escape the everyday and sing, act, dance and really get into a character.

Never lose that spirit sweet girl and keep on dancing! Such pure joy!

For the record, mom was hesitant about getting in any shots during the session but I MADE her. These are just outtakes but one day little "I" will cherish such a simple moment with her mother. She doesn't care if her mom was made up for the camera but she will forever hold in her heart the memory of her mother and who she was on that day.

Many blessings to your family! It was a pleasure to have been included in this moment in your lives!

Happy 10th Birthday Fabio! The hubby thinks I'm crazy for doing this but I can't help it. Today is very special for me because he made it 10 years. If you haven't heard Fabio has bone cancer in his leg and won't be with us much longer so it's so important to me to document these special memories with him before it's too late. I feel like the clock is ticking and it breaks my heart. Photography has been a coping mechanism for me, not just with him, but with many aspects of life. Art is healing!

Baby M

Welcome sweet baby "M!" I've had the pleasure of photographing this family since they had their very first newborn. How amazing it has been to watch their family grow. It's such an incredible experience for me to have been given the gift of documenting their memories for them. It's something I take great joy and pride in.

Lots of love is put into every portrait session! I love being able to snuggle and ooh and ahh over your sweet newborns....my baby fix for the day.

Baby Z's First Birthday Cake Smash

What a smashing good time this baby girl had! All that sugary goodness made for some really fun pictures.

Baby Z's mama was so creative, and a creative photographer, and creative Mama make a great team! Mom baked the cake from scratch! Impressive right?! She's also a designer and made the framed art with her one year stats. What a lovely design she made for her baby's first birthday portrait session.

Cake smashes are a wonderful way to celebrate baby's first birthday and usually their very first taste of cake. For more information on cake smash sessions click here http://kimboggusphotography.com/cake-smash

Who doesn't love babies in pearls and tutu's. Adorable!

Detail shots are the best. Tiny hands, little toes. The handprint in the top of cake......too cute!

Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty! We just got done reading this fairtyale during our bedtime story routine so a reenactment was in order. She was so excited to wear a real crown!

She definitely wouldn't break character and insisted on her eyes closed for all portraits. She will one day remember the magic it was in recreating fairytales and fantasy stories. Oh, the heart and mind of a child!
