What a lovely family beach session this was at South Padre Island. The colors! Oh my!

So fun! I think all kids love to swing like this!

While editing, I found this gem below. I love it as it's so real. It takes on a documentary lifestyle appeal. To me it is just too funny!

What great parents they are!

These two always make me laugh when I photograph them. They are too much fun together!

Miss "L" below is one of my favorite models to photograph. She is great in front of the camera.

Miss "L" and her sweet girlfriends. While getting to know them, and a little insight into their lives, I found out that they are all just as beautiful on the inside.

Mermaid

Loving summer and dressing up like a mermaid. We truly do have a fun time together scheming up fantastical ideas to do together. During this shoot she was very eager to "just swim already."

Mermaid! We hand made this crown together. She helped pick out the shells a few of which we found at the beach. Fun summer project. The bohemian trend going on right now really inspired me on this shoot. Loving the lace/crochet dress. Swoon!
I have to reshoot this at the beach!

Look at that mermaid makeup! Freaks me out how grown-up she looks. All in good fun though!

Over the Rainbow Bridge

July 15, 2016 • 1 Comment

One day I'll see you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
To some you were just a dog but to me your were family. I will always miss you! I'm sure you're in heaven chasing all of the possums and lizards you can find.
The day before he left us. I took him outside. He couldn't walk well but I noticed 2 yellow butterflies fly right in front of me. At that moment, I knew it wouldn't be much longer. Butterflies have always been a symbol of change and metamorphosis to me. The next day, he got his wings.
(This is as close as I could get to what I think heaven looks like. It took me 2 days and 33 photoshop layers to create this piece but I really enjoyed creating it.) (Heaven)

This is the newest addition to our extended family and I have waiting to photograph this baby boy since I can remember! Not only is he adorable but he is such a good baby. Always happy, which made for a very fun session.

My favorite baby age to photograph right here.....6-9 months!

Fabio's 10th Birthday Cake Smash!

June 13, 2016

Yay! Our family dog and best friend has made it to his 10th birthday and what better way to celebrate this special occasion than a doggie cake smash and portrait session.

While we were already in studio, I decided to do a few more setups. I love this one because it looks like a painting. This is how I remember his face.

Happy Dog! You can't really tell he is sick here and that's how I want to remember him. Happy, playful, full of love. I'll always remember his strength and toughness when darting across the yard to jump to the top of a 6 foot fence in an attempt to catch a possum. (If you don't follow me on Facebook, you wouldn't know that he's been diagnosed with bone cancer. Since he doesn't have much time left, I wanted to do this shoot so that I'll never forget about the best dog I ever had.)

Just him and I.

Puppy love and kisses!

Photography has been such a blessing in my life and it's a tool I use in coping with the joys of life and it's heartbreak. I'm so thankful I'm able to capture these special memories. In the blink of an eye, it will all be over.

My magic power is a time machine, what's yours?!
